Funding opportunities for community-led projects and climate researchers
July 12th, 2018
The Irish Government just launched the first call for applications under the new €500 million Climate Action Fund.
The Minister for the Environment, Denis Naughten, TD said that this fund “provides an unprecedented opportunity” to support projects to bring down Ireland’s emissions and increase our use of sustainable energy.
This call for applications will provide grant funding to larger scale projects starting in 2019 or 2020 that are looking for support in excess of €1m to support energy and heating projects.
While the funding is welcome, The Green News looks at some other funding opportunities available for community-led projects and environmental and climate researchers.
