The Irish Whale and Dolphin Group are looking for a new General Manager to join their team in Kilrush Co Clare.

General Manager – Irish Whale and Dolphin Group

The Irish Whale and Dolphin Group (IWDG) pleased to invite tenders for the position of General Manager. The IWDG is an All-Ireland group “dedicated to the conservation and better understanding of cetaceans (whales, dolphins and porpoises) in Irish waters through study, education and interpretation”. The IWDG is a leading marine NGO in Ireland.  The IWDG is a membership based organization. Its work is carried out by a combination of service providers and volunteers (officers). Primary duties of the General Manager include administrating the day to day running of the organisation, maintaining good corporate governance, and managing the survey schedule of the Celtic Mist. The successful candidate will be required to largely work out of the Shannon Dolphin Centre in Kilrush, Co Clare and be flexible regarding working hours. Hours will be flexible and seasonal (quieter in the winter) and will vary between weeks but will average 25 hours per week over the course of the year. The successful applicant will report to the Board of Directors and be expected to work closely with all IWDG Officers.
