You are probably wondering where you could go this week end to survive those high temperatures, look no further, here’s a list of the best beaches to go to this weekend!
Clean coasts and Blue flag, both programs run by An Taisce, have release the results of their studies, classifying Irish beaches. Clean coast’s aim is to engage communities in the protection of Ireland’s beaches, seas and marine life, through coastal clean-up initiatives and marine litter surveys. And the Blue flag is a European program. It was created by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE) and is active in Ireland since 1988.
Both of those institutions award coasts, based on different criteria : Environmental Education and Information Provision, Water Quality, Environmental Management, Safety and Services, protection of the natural environment…
This year 86 Blue Flag were given in Ireland – to 81 beaches and 5 marinas – and 58 Green Coast Awards.
Only 6 beaches have win both awards, and here they are :[/cs_text][/cs_column][/cs_row][/cs_section][cs_section id=”” class=” ” style=”margin: 0px; padding: 45px 0px; ” visibility=”” parallax=”false”][cs_row id=”” class=” ” style=”margin: 0px auto; padding: 0px; ” visibility=”” inner_container=”true” marginless_columns=”false” bg_color=””][cs_column id=”” class=”” style=”padding: 0px; ” bg_color=”” fade=”false” fade_animation=”in” fade_animation_offset=”45px” fade_duration=”750″ type=”1/1″][cs_block_grid id=”” class=”” style=”” type=”two-up”][cs_block_grid_item id=”” class=”” style=”” title=”Block Grid Item 1″]
