The site’s goal is to provide a platform for people to post their essays and research, so these aspiring environmentalists can get their names out there. We’re hoping to build a free and open online resource for people in environment-related fields. A benefit of the website is that we can link each article posted to the author through their social media accounts, so an author’s work is very much their own. One of the most valuable aspects can be linking articles to an author’s LinkedIn account, helping students and graduates show potential employers their work. This may also be useful for students who are seeking postgraduate positions as they can demonstrate an interest in their field by displaying their work online and opening it up to discussion.
