VACANCY: Global Action Plan are looking for a Programme Manager

The successful candidate will be responsible for directing staff across a range of programmes, monitoring and evaluating; managing budgets and resources, and continuous improvement of the programmes.

Key Responsibilities:

Programme Management

  1. Develop programme plans with priorities, targets and indicators
  2. Plan and administer budgets for projects, programmes equipment and support services
  3. Liaise with the schools, community groups and other participants or audiences throughout programme implementation, from start to finish
  4. Liaise with and manage staff and independent facilitators across programmes; prepare rosters/resource schedules and supervise and support staff and independent facilitators
  5. Oversee administrative procedures to meet objectives, including, for example, approving invoices and expenses claims for services provided, preparing and maintaining records and reports
  6. Evaluate the work of staff and independent facilitators to ensure that programmes are of appropriate quality and that resources are used effectively
  7. Liaise with the funders and sponsoring organisations throughout programme implementation, from start to finish
  8. Monitor and evaluate the implementation of the programme in relation to programme objectives, quality and targets
  9. Prepare various interim and final reports for funders, sponsors and stakeholders such as EU bodies, Local Authorities, corporates, etc.
  10. Evaluate the benefits to the service users, funders, sponsors and other stakeholders

Programme & Organisation Development

  1. Assist the CEO and management team to identify and develop new funding and sponsorship opportunities (private and public) to develop and organise programmes, and to prepare applications for funding and tender proposals for existing and new programmes as appropriate
  2. Assist the CEO and management team to identify and develop new programmes and opportunities
  3. Assist the CEO and management team in developing a 3 to 5 years strategy for the organisation through research and analysis to determine future programme direction and goals
